According to Texas Department of Health Non-Certified Technician (NCT)–A person who has completed a training program and who is listed in the registry. An NCT may not perform a radiologic procedure which has been identified as dangerous or hazardous. The State of Texas requires individuals to be registered with the Texas Department of Health in order to perform X-Rays. In order to be registered with the Texas Department of Health, individuals must complete the Standard Limited Course consisting of 120 hours or 64 hours if your a registered nurse or a Physicans Assistant.
