What is an MCD and How many MCDs are the LEDs?

0

MCD (short for millicandelas) is a measure of the light output of an LED. The higher the MCD rating, the brighter the LED. Our LED’s operate between 3000 MCD (typical) and 4000 MCD (max). The only exception is our Blue, Ocean Green, White, Pure Green, and Red/Orange LED’s that have a rating of 4000 MCD (typical) and 5000 MCD (max). Additionally, our Purple/UV LED’s are measured in Ultraviolet output which does not reflect the visible light output. Thus, the Purple/UV LED’s appear to be less bright than our other eleven colors.
