What is an LCMS confirmation test?
LCMS is an abbreviation for liquid Chromatography/mass spectrometry. An LCMS confirmation test is in essence, the same as a GCMS confirmation test. However, because some compounds, such as EtG Testing for alcohol, breakdown differently than others, two different tests are used for “gold standard” confirmatory testing. An LCMS confirmatory test is required for EtG Testing for Alcohol should it be necessary.
