ANS9 : The multi-serial card is to be plugged in the spare slot of PC. The older PCs have an ISA standard slot while the new PCs like P3, P4 has PCI standard slot. Multi-serial cards are available for both the slots. But now, ISA is obsolete. PCI slot is being used. Today’s trend is to use such hardware with USB port. No need to open your PC for add on cards.
