Internet salespeople take leads generated frmo email, company websites, dealer websites, and online ads. You work those people instead of taking ups on the lot. The good thing about internet sales is that y ou are not out pounding the pavement waiting for someone to show up. The bad part is that it takes a lot more work to make one deal. And when you do make a deal, it is always a low-profit deal. Internet shoppers are contacing a dozen dealers at teh same time. You are in a constant battle to beat price, and build some kind of value with a customer with whom you have never even shaken hands. Internet customers tend to care about one thing only – whats your best price. IN face-to-face sales, you have an opportunity to get to know your customer. You get to work with them to find out waht they want, need, and can afford. To me, it is less stressful that way.
