What is an internal exchange?
The process by which point based program members make reservations within their point based system is defined as an internal exchange. In proprietary point systems there is generally no exchange fee charged for a reservation of an accommodation dedicated and within the program. However in the RCI Points based program there is an exchange fee charge as follows: 1 and 2 night reservations, $49; 3 and 4 night reservations, $79; 5 night or longer reservations $99.
