What is an Intern Certificate and how can I get one?
Rio Salado College sponsors a state-approved program called Teacher in Residence (TIR), which is a partnership with Rio, school districts and ADE to get highly qualified candidates into the classroom right away. Potential interns must have a letter of intent to be hired by an Arizona school district, must have passing scores on the AEPA Subject Knowledge test in the content area the school needs to hire, and must not have completed more than half of the required credits in the correlating teacher education program. A Formal Application is required. Other requirements and restrictions apply.
