What is an Interactive Television class?
Interactive Television is a system that allows students and teachers at different physical locations (or school sites) to see and hear one another simultaneously. For example, an English 1301 instructor may be teaching from one the ITV classrooms located on the Panola College campus in Carthage. The instructor has students in her ITV classroom, and she also has students at remote locations, such as high school ITV classrooms in Timpson or Shelbyville, Texas or at another community college. Each location can see and hear one another through the use of television cameras and microphones.
