What is an Injectable Filler?
Injectable fillers are substances that are used to restore volume, add contour, and lift lines in the face. They have been approved by the FDA for the treatment of facial wrinkles and folds such as the lines that run from the nose to the corner of the mouth. Fillers are administered through small needles injected into the skin. Local anesthesia is utilized prior to the injection. Some swelling and bruising could occur and will usually resolve quickly.
