What is an indicia?
An indicia is just like a stamp, but it’s printed directly on the mail piece. The indicia tells the postman how the mail piece is handled, either first class or bulk rate, and who is responsible for paying the postage, noted on the indicia as a permit number. Call DMC for more information about our mailing services at 843.884.9147.
An indicia is a preprinted marking located in the upper right hand corner of each piece that will be mailed via first class mail or standard mail (formerly known as “Bulk” mail). The indicia shows payment of postage by the sender. If MWM Dexter is handling the mailing of your product, the MWM Dexter indicia should be used on your printed piece. Contact your Printing Consultant for a digital copy of our indicia to include with your print file. We’ll need to know if you plan to mail 1st class or standard class.
