What is an Independent Physicians Association (IPA) and what are its benefits?
An IPA is a group of individual doctors in private practice in your community who have joined together to form an association, in a sense, a “team.” This allows you, the patient, to select a primary care physician at a location that is convenient for you and enjoy the special attention given to you at your own doctor’s office. Alta Bates Medical Group works with selected providers in our network (specialists, hospital, laboratory, radiology, etc.) within the area you have selected to provide medical services.
