A grade of I may be granted to students (1) who are unable to complete specific course requirements for clearly unavoidable, nonacademic reasons (such as extended illness or relocation) and (2) whose work has been of passing quality up to that point. A grade of I will not be considered as an alternative to an anticipated low grade in a course. The decision to give an incomplete is made solely by the instructor of the course.

If it is past the 9th Week drop deadline, and for some very serious reason you are unable to complete a course in which your work is of passing quality, see your professor about arranging for a grade of Incomplete (you must have approval from the professor). You’ll need to finish the work by the end of following quarter.

An incomplete grade is given when an answer sheet is mailed or emailed to us with questions left unanswered. Incomplete answer sheets are automatically considered nonpassing and will be returned for you to rework.
