What is an “INC” grade?

0

An “INC” grade is a grade that is assigned by the instructor when a student is doing passing work and the instructor believes that the student has given an acceptable reason for not finishing the course on time.

An INC is an incomplete grade. It does not affect your GPA, however it might affect eligibility status for financial aid. You are not given credit for this class for the current semester; however if you complete all missing assignments and tests, you will receive credit for the class the following semester. It is up to you as a student to seek out your professor the following semester to complete all missed assignments or tests for the class. You may not re-register for this class. A grade will be submitted the following semester depending on your work. If you do not make up the missing work by the end of the semester following the one in which you received the INC, you will receive a grade of FIN, which is the same as receiving a grade of F.
