What is an implementation-level plan?

0

The Kobuk-Seward Peninsula Proposed Resource Management Plan provides the overarching guidance and direction for the BLM-administered public lands in the planning area. The RMP is somewhat analogous to zoning. Implementation-level plans are more site-specific in nature and focus on what is permissible in smaller units of the area. For instance, the Kobuk-Seward Peninsula Proposed RMP establishes two Special Recreation Management Areas (SRMAs) within the planning area. The BLM will complete one or more implementation-level plans, along with additional planning and additional public involvement, to determine site-specific management objectives and decisions for these areas.
