An interlock is a device that is installed in your car that is about the size of a cell phone with a mouthpiece on it. The device connects a motor vehicle ignition to a breath analyzer that measures a driver’s blood alcohol and prevents a motor vehicle ignition from starting if a driver’s blood alcohol level exceeds the calibrated setting on the device.
