What is an IEP and do all students have one?
An IEP is an Individual Education Plan. A written plan for instruction and appropriately selected therapies and or interventions for a particular student. Not all students are required to have an IEP. Common practice does require an IEP for all 504 students and Special Education students. Not all slower learners qualify for 504, therefore may not have an IEP. In some school systems, an IEP is required for Gifted-Talented students. Please email us if you have a question.
