What is an ICwedge cooler infeed?
The ICwedge cooler infeed system is a continuous motion, low backpressure, single-file to mass-flow transfer system which utilized the rotating motion of multiple, continuous wedges to form and transfer rows of containers into a mass-flow cooler. The system simultaneously transfers a row of bottles off the single-file delivery conveyor and onto the mat-top cooler chain while allowing a subsequent row of bottles to form across to front of the cooler. The ICwedge cooler infeed system eliminates hot bottle denting, allows for light weighting of plastic bottles, improves production throughput from improved cooler space utilization and is able to run both round and non-round/rectangular bottles.
