What is an HP 10Base-T Switching Hub, Management Module and Switch Module?
A 10Base-T Switching Hub is a Ethernet hub with a migration path for growth. It can be used in the same manner as any typical 10Base-T (Ethernet) hub. The migration path is provided in the form of two modules: The Management Module (HP J3210A) and the Switch Module (HP J3212A). When both modules are inserted into a stack of 10Base-T Switching Hubs, the stack automatically segments all of the ports into four collision domains. The Switch Module then connects the four segments together and provides 4 external ports for direct server/printer connections.
