The medical term of eye freckles is choroidal nevus. The retina of our eye is situated on a membrane called choroid. This membrane consist of colors or pigment cells which are responsible for giving our eyes its natural color. When these pigment cells clustered up together, then the eye freckle or choroidal nevi is formed. Causes and Symptoms of Eye Freckles The exact cause behind the development of eye freckles is still unknown. Several research studies have revealed some possible factors that can lead to eye freckles. Some people are born with eye freckles.
