An export management company (EMC) handles export operations for a manufacturer that wants to sell its product overseas but doesn’t know how or is not interested in selling on the front-end. So, the EMC goes out and markets to distributors in other countries to get the products sold abroad. An EMC from India for example may search for distributors in the U.S. The U.S. distributor could be a drop shipper for the Indian company, all arranged by the EMC.
