What is an expedited reconsideration?
An expedited reconsideration is an opportunity for a hospital to appeal any adverse review finding while a patient is still hospitalized. The hospital or attending physician may send the request for expedited reconsideration and additional, pertinent medical information via mail, facsimile or other acceptable means to HSI.
