An existing medical condition is considered to be an illness or injury that you, a traveling companion or family member were seeking or receiving treatment for or had symptoms of on the day you purchased your plan, or at any time in the 120 days before you purchased it. Please also note that you may still be covered for losses caused by reasons other than those related to an existing medical condition. See the Certificate of Insurance / Policy for details.

The term “Existing Medical Condition” has a special meaning. Our policy describes an Existing Medical Condition as: a) Any physical defect, condition, illness or disease for which treatment, medication or advice (including investigation) has been received or prescribed by a medical or dental adviser in the 90 days prior to the issue of the Policy, or the date the trip is booked, whichever occurs last; or b) any chronic or ongoing (whether chronic or otherwise) medical or dental condition, illness or disease medically documented prior to the issue of the Policy, or the date the trip is booked, whichever occurs last.
