What is an example of a public planning process?
An example of a public planning process is the Regional Growth Strategy. This is a Comox Valley-wide planning initiative looking at where urban growth will be focused until 2050. This planning initiative invites the public to open meetings where people can share their concerns. Land-use planning processes are another example of public planning processes. There was a public land-use planning process on the central coast and northern Vancouver Island in which we participated.
