What is an ePrint?

An ePrint is an electronic copy of an academic paper. It can be an electronic copy of the pre-refereed paper, known as a pre-print, or the post-refereed paper, known as a post-print. Confusingly, the term post-print can used for both the author’s own version of the accepted paper and the publisher produced electronic version. Generally speaking, within the context of Stirling’s Repository, we use the term post-print to refer to the author’s own version of the accepted paper, and the term publisher version or publisher PDF to refer to the final version produced by the publisher and which appears in the paper or online journal.
