What is an enucleated egg cell?

0

An enucleated egg cell is an egg cell that has had it’s nucleus removed, but the cell itself still has all the mechanisms of an egg cell that is vital for planting into the womn of a mother. Yes, you could retrieve the egg cell from the thing you’re about to clone, but the scientists who cloned Dolly retrieved the egg cell from another sheep because the point is to show that the clone(Dolly) produced from the process is identical to the sheep from which the nucleus incorporated into the enucleated egg cell originates from, and not the sheep that produces the enucleated egg cell. Get what I mean? Otherwise the scientists could have just used the egg cell itself, and culture it or give it a shock or something to ‘activate’ the cell into dividing into a zygote for implantation.
