What is an EMF meter? How does it help in an investigation?
EMF stands for ElectroMagnetic Frequency. The meter measures how much EM and electrical energy is present in an area. Using the theory that ghosts are energy beings and manifest by collecting more energy to themselves, the meter becomes helpful by showing high points in the EM field which could be a ghost collecting energy in an effort to manifest to the investigator. Remember to always get a baseline reading on an area when using the meter and be aware of any powerlines, outlets or unshielded cables when collecting readings.
