What is an eligible post-secondary course for the Expanded Options program?
“Eligible post secondary course” means (a) any nonsectarian course or program offered through an eligible post-secondary institution if the course or program may lead to high school completion, a certificate, professional certification, associate degree or baccalaureate degree; (b) is not a duplicate course (identical in scope and content) offered at the student’s resident school. Eligible post secondary course does not apply to any post secondary courses in which a student is enrolled in addition to being enrolled full-time in the student’s resident school district. For purposes of the Expanded Options Program, a student is considered full-time if the student attends classes for credit in the secondary school for all available hours of instruction. Eligible post secondary institutions are (a) a community college; (b) institutions in the Oregon University System; and (c) The Oregon Health and Sciences University.
