What is an Elevation Certificate, and where do I get one?
An Elevation Certificate is a document that certifies the elevation that a structure is set at. It may be required by insurance companies to prove that the structure is in compliance with local regulations. It is the property owner’s responsibility to obtain an Elevation Certificate within 30 days of completion of construction and supply the original of the certificate to the Floodplain Administrator. The owner must hire an Arizona Registered Surveyor (or Engineer) to complete the Elevation Certificate. • How do I get a copy of an Elevation Certificate that has already been submitted to the County?
