WHAT IS AN ELECTIVE PRENATAL LIMITED MEDICAL SONOGRAM?

0

An elective 3D & 4D prenatal sonogram evaluates the following: the number of babies in the womb, the location of the placenta, confirmation of the baby’s heartbeat and the position the baby is in at the time of the scan. In addition to affording the opportunity to obtain 3D/4D images of the baby. Our elective 3D/4D sonograms provide a reassuring experience for the mother, father, family and friends. The imaging used in this limited OB sonogram examination is NOT performed to better assess the baby for abnormalities. A complete routine OB diagnostic sonogram examination should have already been performed to determine the gestational age of the baby and to evaluate for fetal abnormalities as well as the basics of fetal anatomy screening.
