What is an ECOSOC or CSD accredited NGO?

0

ECOSOC accredited NGOs are those organizations who have applied for and been granted consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the UN and have therefore worked with the UN previously. CSD accredited NGOs are those organizations who participated in the 1992 Rio Earth Summit, who were all granted consultative status with the UN system. Both these types of organization can still activate registration to the Summit by requesting a password for access to online registration from the WSSD Secretariat. More information on this can be found on the Major Groups Accreditation Page of the official WSSD website.
