What is an easy way to hypnotise/make myself go to sleep?
I have had a lot of problems getting to sleep and staying asleep. These are the things that work for me. ***Go to sleep at the same time every night, if at all possible. This kind of sets your internal clock to expect sleep. ***Don’t work on the computer for at least 1 hour before bedtime or watch the television. The light from the screen makes your body think it is daytime. ***If you like to read, take a book or magazine to bed and keep the light as low as you can while still being able to read comfortably or perhaps get a book light so as not to disturb anyone else. ***Try not to get involved in any phone calls or in depth conversations, especially not about things that worry or upset you. ***Stay away from drinks with caffeine, especially for the 8 hours before you wish to sleep. ***If you wake in the night to use the bathroom and cannot get back to sleep, try not to drink liquids too late. ***If you wake, do not lay awake in bed for more than a half hour.
