Boil the chicken in a pot of salted water. Let it cool. Fish the chicken out of the pot and debone it. Put the boned chicken back into the pot, with the water you cooked it in. Add vegetables, seasoning and and a starch as desired. Simmer until everything is tender and serve. A crockpot is a great way to do this, but you should probably boil the chicken on the stove first, to make sure it gets hot enough to kill any bacteria. Possible seasonings – onions, celery, celery seed, marjoram, parsley, black pepper, bay leaf, ginger, curry. My favorite, before I became allergic to everything, was celery and parsley. Now, I usually use marjoram. Possible vegetables – anything that strikes your fancy, peas, beans, carrots, corn, spinach, tomatoes, turnips, broccoli….
