What is an average day studying Civil Engineering at UCL like?

We keep our undergraduate students fairly busy. It is best to imagine that you will have to commit yourself 9-5 most days to the course. Don’t imagine though that you would be attending lectures for 8 hours a day. The timetable involves a variety of activities as well as time set aside for working on problem-solving and design exercises. A typical day might involve 2 or 3 lectures, a tutorial class or maybe time to work on exercises and perhaps a 2 or 3 hour laboratory session. All UCL students have no timetabled work on Wednesday afternoons and very little in the way of organised activities in week 7 of the first two terms.
