What Is An Asana?
Asana is an embodied state of vibrant calm in which we experience a sublime sense of interconnectivity in all of our motions and stillness. The most basic expressions of asana are standing, lying down, walking and breathing. Chopping vegetables, turning the pages of a book, and reaching for a cup of tea can all be sublimed into beautiful expressions of asana. The vibrant calm of asana arises out of the dynamic interplay of opposites, which form the warp and woof of The Intimate Weave. Learning to perceive and weave meaningful patterns in this whirling matrix is the art of asana.
