What is an Aqueous Cleaner?
Aqueous cleaners are blended chemical ingredients designed to improve the cleaning ability of water. Usually an aqueous cleaner contains a surface active agent; (surfactant) and other chemicals to help the surfactants cleaning ability. These surfactants act as wetting agents that penetrate contaminants such as soils, oils and greases. In most cases surfactants act as emulsifiers helping to form emulsions with water insoluble oils.
