What is an APEX Block made of and does it pose any health threats to me or my team?
APEX Blocks are made from 100% recycled EPS, cement, and water. Per our third-party Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), there is NO formaldehyde, NO off-gassing, NO VOCs, and NO known carcinogens in APEX Block materials. APEX Block contains no EPA Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP) in amounts > 0.1%. We meet the requirements of Southern California AQMD Rule 433.1 and similar regulations. Our materials contain no known products restricted under the SARA Title III, Section 31 in amounts greater than or equal to 1%. * Companies that use virgin (manufactured) EPS support a manufacturing process that endorses a process known as “polymerization”. Polymerization is known to contribute to global warming. Using recycled EPS is part of our business model and our company’s environmental belief. By using only recycled EPS we help to increase the recycling efforts of EPS by states, local municipalities and companies that use EPS for packaging their products.
