What is an anarchist?
There is a great deal of misunderstanding of the nature of anarchism. Anarchists (also known as libertarians or libertarian socialists, in the original sense of socialism as worker- ownership-and-control of the means of production) oppose illegitimate authority and hierarchy, and therefore oppose capitalism and the state; anarchists do not oppose all organization: anarchists favor voluntary, non- hierarchical, self-organization. Anarchists do not oppose all rules and laws; anarchists oppose rules and laws imposed involuntarily by illegitimate authorities, such as the state, and favor voluntarily-agreed-upon rules and laws. “Anarchy 101”, an excellent introduction to anarchism, can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/2fq4d2 “An Anarchist FAQ”, giving an in-depth treatment of anarchism, can be found here: http://www.anarchistfaq.org/ ***** News & Views for Anarchists & Activists
Someone who is believes that all forms of government are evil and that people should be allowed to live independently as they choose, without a government of some type forcing them to do things. Edit: And anarchy is not synonymous with chaos. That is a very common misconception of anarchy that uneducated fools say. Anarchy simply says that people dont need the government to act decently and with principals. Contrary to popular belief, there ARE rules in an anarchist society. Chaos and anarchy are not the same. Read a book before you open your retarded mouth.
An anarchist believes ‘in chaos there is order’! They think that its the people who should independently make all the rules and laws! There would be no political party’s or lawyers, no military, and no national boundrys! There would be no huge corporate conglomerates or transnational companies! Nobody would be permitted to profit from others labors without equal sharing of production! Currency would be unnessary. Police would not be needed, because the ‘system’ does not need them to protect the rich and powerful anymore! (Though what happens when someone gets horribly murdered, i dont know!) Its all ‘pie in the sky’ stuff! Idealism that cannot possibly work because the people who really crave power, will sieze hold of it, and turn it immediatly into the most appalling police state imaginable! Robert Mugabi once said he believed in anarchism, that should give you the answer to what happens to it!
