What is an alert?
An Alert notifies you about information on your accounts such as payment reminders. You can set up three different types of Alerts: One if your balance goes above or below a specified amount and another Alert provides account balance information at a particular time either daily, weekly or monthly. For credit accounts, you can set an Alert to remind you when your payment is due. You will also be able to select the device used to receive your Alerts, such as an e-mail account, pager, or phone with an e-mail address. Please Note: Your devices need to be set up before you can set an Alert. To do this, select “Preferences” from the Account Summary page then choose “Add a New Device” and follow the instructions for adding your device. To receive Alerts, your devices must be set up with your device provider or Internet Service Provider.
An alert is information about traffic conditions on one or more of your drives that we send to you when and how you ask for it. Alerts can be sent on particular days and at particular times (for example, every weekday at 7:30 am) or can be sent only when conditions on one of your drives crosses a certain threshold (for example, when the Jam Factor exceeds 4.5). You can have your alerts sent to your desktop e-mail, mobile device, or by an automated phone call.
Alerts are notifications that Visa sends to you to help you manage and track your Visa signature-based purchase transactions. They are near-real-time notifications based on your customized alert settings. You can select specific alerts and specify the settings for the alerts you want to receive (for example, the option to be notified when a transaction exceeds a specific value). Alerts include the amount of the transaction, date and time the transaction occurred, merchant name and location (if available), and information about how to contact the issuer. There is no direct link to the issuer’s customer support staff from the alert.
