What is an Agreement to Serve (ATS)?

0

An ATS is your agreement to meet the teaching service requirements of the TEACH Grant Program, and your promise to repay any TEACH Grant that is converted to a Direct Unsubsidized Loan if you do not complete the required teaching service or otherwise do not meet the requirements of the TEACH Grant Program. You must sign an ATS as a condition for receiving a TEACH Grant for the 2008-2009 award year. If you transfer to a different school within the same award year and continue to meet the eligibility requirements to receive a TEACH Grant, your ATS may be used to award additional TEACH Grants for the same award year at your new school.
