What is an agistor’s lien and where can I find more information?
An agistor’s lien is a lien that may be filed for the amount due for the feeding, herding, pasturing, keeping, ranching, boarding, or medical care provided for the livestock entrusted to the agistor. This may be filed using a UCC 1 Financing Statement form. An agistor’s lien may also include all costs associated with the enforcement of the lien. For more information on agistor’s liens, see the Agistor’s Lien Act, sections 38-20-201 through 38-20-210, C.R.S.
