Adware are the ad-supported software. As the name indicates, the developers of such software make their money by selling ads instead of charging you, the user for the software. Therefore adware, also called spyware, are usually available for download for free. When you run the program, the advertisements contained in the software are delivered to your PC. On one hand, you benefit by getting a free software, however on the other hand, you might find it annoying to get these ads. There is also the issue of privacy since adware collects information about your online behavior and forwards it to the advertiser.
