What is an ADSL microfilter and do I need one to use the P660HW?
An ADSL microfilter is required to stop interference between the ADSL signals used by your ADSL router and the traditional “analogue” signals used by a telephone, fax machine or dial up modem. You should fit a microfilter on all telephone sockets where there is a device present i.e. second or third phone, sky box etc. It is not necessary to place a microfilter on a socket which is not being used. Note: that you should not connect your ADSL router to the phone socket on a microfilter as this will prevent the ADSL from working. Normally your Internet Service Provider will provide these Micro-filters. You can also buy additional filters from most computer shops.
