What is an “Add-on Investment” and who determines if Add-ons will be available?
Add-on investments are opportunities for members to invest in a company that they are interested in for an additional amount of their own money along side the fund. For example, the group may decide to invest $1 million in Company X. $500,000 could come from the fund and $500,000 could be available for members to invest on a pro rata basis. The executive committee determines the add-on amount for each investment and when add-ons would be available in the first round of an investment. The administrative fee would apply to the add-on investments as well.
