What is an ActiveSync partnership and do I need it?
When ActiveSync tries to connect to a device it prompts the user to set up whats known as a partnership. This is a profile of the connection between the PC and the handheld computer to make data transfers more automatic. Examples of these types of partnership would be synchronizing your Calendar, Contact Manager and Emails from your Office PC to your Windows CE device. When the ActiveSync connection wizard tries to establish a partnership cancel the dialog. When using ActiveSync with the FAST Terminal you will be either installing programs that take control of ActiveSync or explicitly transferring files. The Active sync partnership is not needed for use with the Z-Max system.
