What is an action plan order?
An action plan order is a 3 month community-based sentence that a court can give to a young person aged between 10 and 17 years. Action plan orders are designed to stop young people re-offending by focusing on activities that develop a sense of inclusion and responsibility in the community. It can include repairing the harm done to the victim of the offence or the community, education and training or a variety of other programmes to address a young person’s offending behaviour.
