What is an action level?
An action level is defined by the related OSHA standard for a specific chemical, and, typically, is one-half the permissable exposure limit. If an exposure is at, or exceeds this concentration, then some type of corrective action is required. The corrective actions are detailed in the OSHA standard for a specific chemical.
