What is an ACS-certified degree in Chemistry?
An American Chemical Society (ACS) certified degree is awarded to those students who complete the requirements set forth by the ACS. These requirements are more stringent than the ones set forth by the University of Central Oklahoma. However, most employers like ACS-certified degrees because they know that the student has gone through a rigorous program and has been taught by accomplished faculty. The student is also better prepared to enter the work force upon graduation.
