What is an ACNA and is it required as part of the Service Provider registration?

ACNA is the acronym for “Access Customer Name Abbreviation.” This is an optional field for user registration. It is provided on the Service Provider registration because it is a required field (three-character alpha) on all Carrier Identification Code (CIC) applications. An ACNA assignment can only be obtained by application to the Common Language Group at Telcordia (Tel. 732-699-5577).
