If you take your child to a park especially one that they have been to several times before and they wont get on the slide. Somewhere along the way they developed a child fear or phobia of heights or falling and are now afraid to climb the ladder and have fun. This fear or stress that is created is preventing them from having fun like they use to. Of course you do have to take into account the age of the child. Many young children can go through phases as they test their limits and most of the time they grow out of their fears. The reason for this is that kids tend to do many things so they experience so much and are often looking fear in the eyes. Children are often more often capable of healing mentally and physically faster then adults so I wouldn’t worry unless the fear, phobia or anxiety seems to get worse with time.
