What is Ambulatory Phlebectomy?
Ambulatory Phlebectomy is a simple office procedure done under local anesthesia. After the site is rendered numb with lidocaine, a tiny incision is made and the varicose vein is hooked and removed. This is usually repeated several times until the entire vein segment is removed. It requires no sutures and leaves minimal to no scar. There is virtually no down time and the patient returns to normal activity directly.
